We are moving.
Teh Weatherdude will be Director of the Eastern Region of National Weather Service. (Maine to South Carolina and Ohio. Yes, this was already in the works before Sandy, but we couldn't say anything.)
He begins his new job on 31 December. Miss E and I will move after the end of the school year.
Here, have a photo of Miss E in a dirndl. She likes German. (Dirndl courtesy of my family collection from 1966 when my mother had dirndls made for herself and for us. No, not a single German in my background. We were in Heidelberg at the time on a trip.)

And Miss E looks so grown up.
We're all a-twitter here with the stress of trying to put this house on the market. We already have a new house identified, but much crapola must be disposed of before we move!
And I hope we can get together. It's so much closer in many ways, easier to get mass transit by train. We're pretty close to a stop on the LIRR. Good neighborhood for running and some trails out there that I'll be exploring.
We had a bonfire on Sat, didn't have one last year. We'll have to have more before we go, there's a lot of brush to burn. This was in the new burn location by the pond and it was huge. I thought about OzCon and everyone who was here for that one.
