Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone! We are in Nahant for the holidays, having gone first to RI to the Weatherdude's parents on Wednesday. We had a really good meal with sweet potatoes, butternut squash, turkey, stuffing and two types of cranberry. This year, it was an amazing mixture of flavors, courtesy of my brother-in-law, for the most part.

Miss E had a lovely trip, though she's mislaid her dvd cord for the car and was thus limited. We had congested traffic on I-95 in CT, but that's to be expected. Get beyond New Haven and the traffic falls away. It's the RI effect. In the summer, it's a different story.

We are now going to do some work on Maralton's storage space to prep for her move south. Miss E is very excited about having an aunt ready to hand. Maralton is very excited about making a change in her life.

Frog Out

Story #3 is progressing. Have to see what I can do in the next few days.

Oh, I know that stretch of I-95 well (my parents live in Lyme). Driving through New Haven is scary!

Glad you had a good one! And good luck with the new story.

Ha. that's right, they do. You're only too familiar with "can't escape I-95." We did our best, taking the Merritt from the Tappan Zee to Bridgeport, but then it was slog city to New Haven. But the Dude knows that route only too well, so we were fine. Me, I'm ultra-familiar with I-84.

Did you wave to me as you drove past?

I need to get out my map. We went from I-78 to I-287 and north to the Tappan Zee and Mahwah. Might have been your neck of the woods?

The weird part was driving through Allentown and realizing that I had been there less than a week before for dinner with the Schoen's. Even saw the hospital they had told me about as we drove past in the snowy dark.

287 comes within walking distance of my house. When you pass over the Raritan River (approaching the Rutgers exits from the south) you cross the overpass that Ben and I run beneath along the tow path (actually, I have seldom run that far, But Ben did frequently). You could always stop and say hello on your way home, if your schedule permits.

I did not realize that. I don't remember seeing signs for Rutgers or the Raritan, though.

The drive home is likely to be I-84 to I-81, bypassing I-78 altogether and taking the less-traveled roads through PA.

Happy Thanksgiving, you!
