Proto'd Yet Again

Ok, so it's the 29th and I have story #3 finished well enough to edit it for a second draft. It has a beginning, middle and end and lots of notes. It's 5k, which is shorter, but it's more of a fairy tale and I just can't see that it needs more worldbuilding. Compared to the other two, it's a standard setting, if fantastical.

So I end the National Novel Writing month with 3 proto stories and 25k words that I hadn't committed to paper before. That's a winner.

I can hardly realize it, but my writing retreat is next Sat/Sun and while I have a few things to do this week, I can just keep going for a bit and then switch over for the retreat. Not sure if I should continue to bang out new content (Cumin's story) or work on completing the incomplete gen ship story.

Great progress! If any ideas are surfacing for Cumin's story or the gen ship story, I'd put them down before they can escape (of course I'll always choose new stuff over revising--but you can revise when you're out of inspiration). Is the gen ship the one you're doing for Stan? Or was that the ditch riders one?

Both will be offered to Stan in their final form. I don't know if he will want either one, but any sf story would be offered. Judging by family reaction, the water story sounds more like an Analog story. I've already received some input that would add a very neat dimension to the story.
