Friday Stuff

Trash run today. Oh boy! We've reached the stinky, magotty, time of year. I have to remember to bring my gloves. I think I'd like not to have maggots on my gen ship. Not sure I get a choice though. They might be needed to break things down that we don't mention in polite company.

Sky is gray today, does that mean some rain? All mowing is done for this week at least. I did the final section on Wednesday evening and forgot to wear ear protection. Man was that noisy. An hour or so later and my ears were ringing.

Traci is in Tucson still, but leaving today. She got to ride again last night, this time on Khep. I'm all confused about this balance thing and who's carrying whom. I think I need comparisons between horses and more time in the saddle. Joan Vinge is there as well, having a lovely time, from all accounts. DHF runs one heck of a writing camp.

Traci sent this...Carma coming straight toward her.

And what appears to be a very muddy Camilla doing silly things after being sprayed with the hose and rolling in the mud. They call me War Mare.

I think the main problem with maggots in a gen-ship is that they turn into flies.

I would recommend you stick with worms.

yes, that was what I was worried about...flies in the air system. ugh. I live with them here, but that's because I'm next door to a cow farm with lots of cow pies.

balance and who is carrying whom: you balance yourselves and carry yourselves, and each other. It's like dancing -- someone leads, but if the other partner doesn't have good balance and a relaxed responsive posture, then it can't happen. At least, that's how I feel about it.

Ack! That's going to be interesting if it's like dancing with a partner. I've only managed that a couple of times with someone I love and trust. Oh wait. That's how I feel about Pandora, isn't it?

exactly! and there are days she will lead and carry you, and other days you will lead and carry her. It's a relationship, it's give and it's take. Or at least that's the way it is with heart horses, like Pandora is for you, and Joy is for me.

I think it's going that way, yes. And Traci is falling in love with her. I think it's the right matchup for now. Judy does, and that's what matters.

DHF is all about karma and Carrma. Carrma is Pooka's mother, after all. Whenever I go to DHF, I bring all the karma I can spare and spread it around. This year the vibes were awesome. Like the crazed bunnies that just sort of hang around underfoot. And the quail. And everything alive and humming.
