Experiment Fails

Well, the general test of my stamina yesterday failed miserably. Most of the work was done after J came home and all three of use were working together. I needed E to help me finish up the tree trimming, for god's sake. I did make a run to the bookstore with just enough time to spare to get back and pick up E from school. Had I hit traffic, she would have been in the school office. And why did I push it that late? I got sucked into watching Voyager on Spike. Weird.

And speaking of stuck in some twilight zone, I called and argued with the satellite company again. I paid more money, but the stupid new DVR won't be here until Jan 5. So I got this brainstorm (obsessive thought I couldn't let go of) that I would be able to unplug the DVR from our bedroom and hook it up to the main TV which hasn't had any TV for six months. A couple of hours later, I'm watching Voyager reruns. Which means I succeeded in outsmarting the stupid thing and got it jury-rigged to the main TV for the next 2 weeks. Because otherwise, anyone wanting to watch bowl games would be watching them in my bedroom. But all that obsessive pondering left me pretty drained. And obviously susceptible to bad TV. I have nothing against Voyager, nothing against Ellen DeGeneres, but it's just not something I normally do...stare at TV for hours during the day, idly flipping channels.

Oh and I won't even mention the headfirst dive into the reese's peanut butter cups. No, that wasn't a pretty sight.
