writerly

Goals, Work, Revision...

The objective I was handed at Taos Toolbox was to make my writing a priority. Give it 1.5 hours a day, every day. This is not a lot of time, but I find letting go and focusing is something I fight. I can go heads down into writing in bursts, but every single day? Food for thought as I struggle to get a routine going again and bring all of me back down off the mountain.

So. I have The Mouse King all broken down. And wrote lots of thoughts about structuring it. I've been chewing over comments that were made and trying to decide what stays and what goes. I just found that Frost commented that the omniscient narrator seemed to be necessary. Which conflicts with an opinion that I was distancing the reader by using it. Chew, ruminate, spit out words. Yup, that's about right.
