Meanwhile, I did a run at Borders and B&N (guns blazing) and then attacked my huge personal collection for anything by Connie Willis, George RR Martin and Walter Jon Williams; including the back copies of magazines that are not currently boxed up. Now I have a bookshelf crammed with books and stories I need to read over the next few months as I prepare for Taos Toolbox (http://www.taostoolbox.com, still taking apps).
And the new system is coming along. I'm not getting up as early as I want yet, but I'm starting to change my focus and settle my gym routine into my writing/working life. I began a slash edit of "Clap Your Hands" two days ago. I'm still experiencing a bit of vertigo with all the moving around I did. It's coming. I have a list of what I want to do first, whether it's the tax job or the writing job. Now I have to add a reading section to my list.
So. Kick in the pants.
Frog Out
Meanwhile, I'm training Walkabout to go into her coop by herself through the barn when I hold open the coop door. This is instead of tossing her over a fence. In other news, she now runs and ducks under the fence gate, just like the cats.
