One for the Scrapbook

My very own E just read me "Green Eggs and Ham" complete with all dramatic expression and at a very fast clip with almost no mistakes. I'm all verklempt, so talk amongst yourselves while I get my breath back. :::fans:::

My favorite book read swiftly with expression. Oh my. I have waited so long for this.

She was convinced the book was too hard. We haven't attempted it in about a year, though it used to be read to her over and over as a toddler. She read "Go Dog. Go!" yesterday. I had her read it to prove to her what she could do. Tomorrow she says she will read me "Sam and the Firefly" another of my absolute favorites. I remember when it happened to me and I will remember it happening to my child. I remember when suddenly books that had been impossible were easy to read, when it all started to come together. And I never looked back. I just started to read and read and read, a host of fabulous worlds and stories opening up in my head.

'Scuse me while I get my hanky.
