A robin, A robin!

When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbing along....

The paddock will be full of them this evening. I'll try to get a photo. Peepers audible last night in the nearby swamp, but ours are still asleep. Maybe tonight!

Red Rockin' Robin

I'd forgotten all about that song. Now I'll have it in my head all day. But that's cool. That and "Rockin' Robin."

"All the little birdies on Jay Bird Street. Love to hear the robin go tweat tweat tweat." :)

Now I'll have Rockin' Robin in MY head...Jeez! We had a player piano when I was a kid. That was one of the rolls. Along with Beer Barrel Polka and other assorted favorites.

Yeah, song's will do that to you. Don't know if I told you I used to be a pro musician. Bass guitar and guitar, depending on the band. I played bass in one band and we did "Rockin' Robin." The guitar player sang it, but we all harmonized on it. Loved that song. Lots of breaks where we'd snapped our fingers while we all sang, before the chorus and the music picked up. Thanks for reminding me of that! That's one I don't wanna get out of my head. *g*

I love it! We don't have first robins of spring--in Britain the robins are little and stick around all winter. I remember the feeling of seeing that first one though. Fantastic.
