Oz Whiston writing as Oz Drummond

Late (Very) Saturday Night

Ok, Ciera and Helen have reached 1500 words and I'm very pleased. At this rate, I won't finish, but it's a very good start and after all, we had a very busy afternoon. The pancakes this morning were worth the interruption as the blueberries were still fresh enough to burst with juice. And then I was able to do around 1100 words, re-doing what I had started on Friday as well. From 2 to 9ish, we were all very happily engaged with GRR Martin. His talk was really good, esp. the Middle Earth parts. I'm old enough to remember the posters with a map that existed before someone started painting scenes and people from the books. It used to say: "Come to Middle Earth." He was using it as an example of a place readers want to visit again and again, that it has reality. It certainly did for me.

And I've hooked up my photo card reader....(other photos, including ones of me, can be seen at tcastleb)

This is Traci tcastleb. I have photos of Kim, my other roommate, but she doesn't like any of them, so I won't post them. Her novel has little mouse balloonists in it. Way cool.
