Oz Whiston writing as Oz Drummond

So today I'm in the city reformatting an ipod for my dad and teaching him to use the cell phone I gave my mother over a year ago. He has instruction booklets which makes him happy. He kept saying he didn't understand how the phone worked. And he used to make fun of my mom when I was teaching her how to do it, saying she was learning to use the phone. What goes around comes around.

E is with me. She had a great time on the last day of camp. Didn't even notice that I didn't bring her a sandwich.

Yesterday, the story that called to me was a fairy tale that isn't about my crazy fairies. It's a proper fairy tale I started about 18 months ago and didn't finish. Now it feels ready to be finished. The Girl Who Slept With The Sun. I'm working out my tensions and details now. Had an opening 1k words and I've revised those 3 times already to something that works. Which is how I work. I spent some time on it last night in a receptive mood (must have been) while the Dude took E to a carnival. Got a killer opening this morning for that first paragraph.
