Toasted Woodchuck Anyone?

Ok, he is not playing fair. Not at all. All day yesterday I watched that board from the house (hey, it's 100 degrees outside) and it didn't move, he didn't push it out of the way. This morning when I went down to let them out, the board was still in place, but their feed dish was tipped and the bricks were pushed away.

He dug UNDER the damn board.

Kicked some dirt back in and proceeded to place the board on end smack in the middle of where he dug. Sigh. He's a ragin' cajun woodchuck. Cayenne and curry didn't stop him one bit.

Frog Out

If this were a story, what would happen next?

The wood chuck would be relocated to a galaxy, far, far away. That's what would happen next. Or a parallel universe. Or transported to the engine room of a Klingon cruiser. At this point, I'm not terribly picky about where, other than its current annoying location.

Editor: "his" current location. Clearly a boy woodchuck.

So much for my cayenne plan. Hm. Maybe the holes should be filled with rocks?

The rock idea is one I've had. A ready source is sometimes a problem, though. I'm certainly not planning to purchase rocks to stuff down the hole. What I did when a hole appeared by the house is to stuff it with pine needles. If the weather ever breaks, I'll tote some barrows down to the barn and stuff both ends of his holes. Though that sounds a bit kinky.
