Another Monday, End of First Week

It's cold here. The wind whipped around the house and because we need to replace windows, it quickly robbed us of any residual warmth. I built a fire in the woodstove this morning, kept it going all day. It's down to embers now.

Another D on Sunday...so hard to focus. But I did let the girls out by 8 am. Well, maybe I have a C minus. Because I did do weekly maintenance on the family finances, which is important work in its own right. I'm still working on organizing this program that lists out projects and action items.

Almost an A, today though. I was about 15 minutes late with the chickens, but I spent most of the day on writing, the one part of my schedule that kept getting missed. Unfortunately, I have a client meeting tomorrow and a messy house so I will be doing housework before 2pm when he's due to arrive. It was a very productive editing day. I'm back on the Mouse King and I started writing comments in the margins that I made unnaturally large and STUFF just came out of nowhere. I love it when that happens. But I'm only halfway so I'm hoping I can pick it back up in the morning. And get back to work on the freelance stuff.

And that's all she wrote. Except that I introduced Miss E to The Jetsons tonight. She gets at least part of it and I'm impressed that it holds up pretty well, though the comic timing feels slow, as if they were afraid the viewers wouldn't get all the jokes. Back then, we had no rewind or instant replay. Not even a remote, come to speak of it. You got to see the show once. So I guess a slower delivery of the jokes makes sense.

Musing over,
Frog Out
